Three days. Real solutions.
Your people are disconnected. Remote work made it worse. Band-aid solutions aren’t working. And it’s costing you in productivity, innovation, and talent.
Join twenty-five HR leaders who refuse to accept disconnection as the new normal.

Let’s fix CONNECTION.
This isn’t another HR conference where you take notes and nothing changes. It’s three days that reshape how work happens.
Join twenty-five HR leaders for hands-on work solving today’s toughest workplace challenge: genuine human connection. Because your people need more than another team-building exercise.
Your momentum starts before day one:
One-on-one strategy session with Jason to map your specific challenges
Pre-retreat virtual meetup to connect with your fellow participants
Private online community for ongoing discussion
Peer accountability partner to keep progress real
Post-retreat consultation to fine-tune your action plan
Group follow-up to share wins and workshop roadblocks

Connection isn’t a nice-to-have anymore. It’s survival.
Your workplace is more flexible and distributed than ever. Great for productivity. Terrible for relationships. Video calls and chat tools aren’t cutting it.
The numbers tell a stark story:

34%
Only 34% of employees feel connected to their colleagues.
12X
Disconnected workers are 12 times more likely to quit
$4K+
Each lonely employee costs you $4,200 a year in lost productivity
94%
94% of your people say belonging at work is crucial to them
When connection breaks down, everything follows:
- Teams stop collaborating
- Innovation dries up
- Trust erodes
- Mental health suffers
- Good people leave
This isn’t just about business metrics.
When people build stronger bonds at work, it ripples into their homes and communities. Your impact goes far beyond the workplace.

Why invest in Connection?
As an HR leader, you already know that a connected workplace isn’t just better for people.
It’s better for business.
Your peers are investing in new AI tools and the perk-of-the-day. But here’s what actually moves the needle: real human connection.
The research backs you up:

Teams with strong connections collaborate better and innovate more

Connected employees stay longer and work harder

Better workplace relationships mean less burnout, more energy

Strong bonds at work build stronger communities at home
It’s the rare triple win:
Ready to create that at your organization?
Meet your impact facilitator:
JASON LAURITSEN
I spent a decade in corporate HR wrestling with the same challenges you face. Now I help HR leaders build workplaces where real connection drives success.
You might know me from my speaking, my books (Unlocking High Performance and Social Gravity) or my podcast (Check-in with Jason Lauritsen). But my real work happens in rooms with leaders like you who are ready to build something better.
I believe in challenging outdated workplace norms by putting relationships at the center of work. Not because it’s nice but because it works.

Frequently Ask Questions
Is this right for me?
You’re an HR leader (Director or above) at a mid to large sized employer who knows your organization needs stronger workplace connections. You’re tired of surface-level solutions and ready for real change. If that sounds like you, you belong here.
Why only 25 people?
Magic happens in small groups. Twenty-five people is the sweet spot for real conversation, deep learning, and meaningful connections. You’ll know everyone by name and have time to tackle your specific challenges.
Does my workplace model matter?
No. Whether you’re remote, hybrid, or fully in-office, connection challenges are universal. The strategies work for all models because they focus on human needs, not workplace logistics.
Why are we limiting who can attend to only current HR leaders?
Human resources leaders have the opportunity and obligation to lead this work. The goal of this retreat is to create a space where these leaders can learn and share with peers who are facing similar challenges and have similar aspirations. It will also create a community of peers to support one another in this work moving forward.
What about travel planning?
The retreat runs from 1 PM Wednesday to 12 PM Friday. Most participants fly on Tuesday evening to avoid travel stress and fly home Friday afternoon. We’ll help with logistics once you register.
How do I know this will actually work?
This isn’t a “hope and pray” approach. You get:
- Pre-retreat planning with Jason
- Real work time on your specific challenges
- A peer accountability partner
- Post-retreat strategy session
- Follow-up group session to share progress. Every step is designed to turn ideas into action.
